Matthew Broderick scoots to school with son James

While fashionable Sarah Jessica Parker may be busy buying cashmere dresses for her young twins Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell, it seems as though her husband Matthew Broderick is happy playing with the couple's son.
The actor, who appeared in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Godzilla and The Stepford Wives, was spotted trying out a scooter with seven-year-old James Wilkie.
People magazine's Moms & Babies blog reports that the pair took to the streets on the unusual form of transport earlier this week as Broderick accompanied the youngster to school in New York.
The news provider also quotes the star, who has been talking about what James wants to be when he grows up.
"Astronaut is high on the list and there's also fireman and maybe being a baseball player," Broderick said.
Meanwhile, his wife and Sex and the City actress Jessica was recently spotted carrying baby Marion in a special sling as she headed out in the Big Apple.
