Corrie stars welcome baby girl

 Members of the Coronation Street cast may be buying cashmere baby gift sets, as two of the show's former actors have welcomed a baby girl.
Jenny Platt and Rupert Hill, who played lovers Violet Wilson and Jamie Baldwin in the popular ITV soap, became parents over the weekend.
Baby Matilda weighed 7 lb 10 oz and the couple are said to be "absolutely thrilled" at the new addition to their family,
Speaking to the Sun, a source said: "The baby was two weeks overdue and they were so pleased to finally meet her."
The insider added that "Rupert is over the moon" and both mother and baby are doing well.
In Coronation Street, Platt and Hill's characters had a baby together as part of a storyline covering ectopic pregnancy, so the pair may already have an idea of what it will be like to become parents.
Elsewhere in soapland, Emmerdale stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden welcomed a baby boy called Buster on April 3rd.
