Gisele Bundchen: Giving birth didn't hurt
2nd February 2010
Gisele Bundchen is one person who may have been inundated with baby gift sets as she gave birth to her first child four months ago.
Speaking about the experience, the model has described how she received no pain relief when she had Benjamin in a home birth that took eight hours.
Speaking to Brazilian TV channel Fantasticoshe, she said that her husband Tom Brady was by her side for the experience and she found the whole thing "tranquil".
"It didn't hurt in the slightest," the 29-year-old said. "The whole time my mind was focused in each contraction on the thought 'my baby is closer to coming out'."
Gisele claimed that she used meditation and hypnosis techniques to get her through the experience with the minimum amount of pain.
She is not the only catwalk queen who has just become a mother, as British model Jourdan Dunn gave birth to her first child in December.
